Southeast Regional Blacksmith Conference
Madison, GA - May 17-19, 2001 - by Randal Guess, CSI
Cliff Schoenung (again) forges on a fire tool project at one of the blacksmithing class forge stations.

You don't have to go to a big conference to get hands on experiance. Most chapters have green coal classes or open forge sessions at meetings. Chapter meetings often have out of state demonstrators, tailgate sales and clases. What MORE could you ask for?! space

Tool Sales There were three rows of tailgate sales each over 100 yards long. Everything from hammer, tongs, forge, 50 to 50 anvils! from 30 to 300 pounds. space
There were lots of 100 pounders from $200 to $400 US. Post vices were not as abundant as anvils. Then there were large and small cone mandrels, Hossfeld benders and some machines and gadgets that the author had never seen before.

Need a Hammer? What shape? Tongs? To fit what and how many? There is no shortage of tools (new or used) at the Southeastern Conference!
