Ray Davis' Mile Long Anvil :

Worlds Largest Steel Anvil?

Ray Davise with his Mile Long Steel Anvil
Ray Davis of Palestine, TX with his "Mile Long" anvil. The "mile" refers to the fact that the anvil weighs 5,280 pounds (2395 kg) which is the number of feet in a mile.

Ray operates an oil field welding and repair shop so he is no stranger to heavy steel and big projects. Ray fabricated his anvil from solid steel with through welds in many places.
