Record was a long time tool maker in Sheffield England. They made wood working tools, vises and other hand tools.
After 100 years in business they were bought out by Irwin who has moved the manufactuuring to China including a line of Vises.
They kept "Sheffield" on many of their tools even though no longer made in England.
The top anvil has a "Benchmark" logo but I cannot find anything about it.
Record was famous for their quick action woodworking bench vices.
I put two Chinese copies on my woodworking bench.
