Folks have been collecting miniature anvils for a long time. Miniature anvils were originaly salesman's samples or advertising anvils. Originals are quite valuable to collectors. However, in recent years some folks have been making reproductions of antique miniature anvils.

Miniature anvils are made of aluminium, brass, cast iron and zinc. Besides advertising samples miniature anvils have been made as paper weights and desk decorations.
