Demonstration at Red-Hill
One of my favorite places to demonstrate blacksmithing was at nearby Red-Hill, the last home and resting place of Patrick Henry.
this was a 4th of July show and it always seemed apropriate to be at the home of Patrick Henry ("Give me liberty or give me death") on the 4th.
The photo above was from my last public demo using my portable blacksmith shop.
Here I am helping my daughter Molly (age 10 at the time) clean up a hook on the horn of the anvil.
