Jeff McCrady sinking a shield boss

Jeff is Ted's shop partner.
Here he is making a shield boss by hot sinking it into a form using a ball stake "hammer".
The "form" Jeff is using is a high pressure oil well cap.
It is machined with a perfect radius inside.
