Steel Billet cut and being "folded"
Folding is not the proper term for what is done when processing billets or making laminated steel. The bar is cut nearly through and then folded, but the result is as if the bar had been cut in two. If the bar were actually folded the the ends would have thick unworked areas with the grain going the wrong direction. |
