Assumptions for projection:
- Growth will continue to increase at a reasonable rate.
- Average growth increase rate has leveled off and will remain steady at approximately 0.260 million per cumulative days (right column).
NOTE: As of March 2006 this rate had jumped and a new average of .2915 is being used.
- Millions mileposts (bold) are arbitrary reference points.
- Days between mileposts (blue) was iterated to fit the rate of increase for the projected data.
The projected future milepost achievement dates and annual traffic rates (in red) are calculated based on the assumed increase in traffic at a continuous rate.
It is possible for this rate to change but this has been the average since the rate increase peeked in June of 2003.
This projection HAD the annual traffic rate of 3 million per year at the end of 2009, it is now expected to be mid 2008.
