Curve Bending Dies:
These simple dies are made of pieces of bar, pipe or tube cut to length and arc welded to an arbor and base.
For hot bending work the dies do not need to be very heavy.
For bending flat bar on edge (hot or cold) the dies are made with flat plate sides, channel or angle to support the bar
and prevent it from twisting to the side. The upper bending die is made of flat plate.
Using a press with positive stop like a flypress, accurate circles can be bent on edge.
