Common Anvil Tooling:
These dies for finishing a tennon are a standard anvil hardie tool and a matching top die made from mild steel.
Russell used a narrow pair of fullers to cut a 1" diameter bar in two almost effortlessly (Figure 3).
An adaptor plate with either a round or square hole is used to support the hardie tool on the press platten.
Standard hardies, fullers and anvil set tools can be used with a flat top die or with matching dies.
